Patnaick Community

Our surname is common especially among the Oriya-speaking Karanams prevalent in Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. It is said that the Karanam community of Andhra Pradesh had migrated from Cuttack and Puri districts of Orissa. We are regarded as the most intellectual Oriya community. We share our surname with notable Indians like JB Patnaik, Naveen Patnaik, Nandita Das and Jatin Das.
